Lotus Pops was co-founded by a foodie, Sruti Jilla. Sruti is a curious customer in restaurants who is always open to experimenting new dishes, rarely ordering the same dish a second time. It was one of these experiments that led her to try roasted lotus seeds in one of her trips to India. She fell in love with the snack. As an avid snacker, she was always searching for a delicious and healthy snack that was made from sustainably grown real food ingredients and found an answer finally. Happiness grows by sharing and therefore she decided to share this awesome snack with others and started Lotus Pops.
Before Lotus Pops, she worked in the corporate world of computer science and technology. Sruti earned her MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. She currently lives in Palo Alto, CA with her husband.
